The Casa

The Casa is the perfect place for the individual traveler or as a romantic hideaway for a couple.

The Casa and the Villa share a 4.5 acre site, verdant with native trees and plants. While accessible to the Villa by a winding 75-foot paved walking path, it is visually separated from the Villa by lush jungle foliage. Visit our photo gallery to see for yourself how a visit to The Casa will make for a very special vacation.

The site is practically the only thing the Casa shares with the Villa. Its separate drive opens to a secure garage or exterior parking area. Its private veranda overlooks a plunge swimming pool, with a huge jungle valley teeming with wildlife and the Pacific Ocean, with its stunning sunsets, just beyond.

The Casa at Dusk
The veranda is furnished with hammocks and bamboo lounges so you can relax and watch the languid daily activity of the tropics, toucans and other colorful birds gliding by, troops of howler and white-faced monkeys swinging in the trees, coati mundis and javelinas foraging for food below and the occasional sloth just hanging around. If the season is right, you may see a pod of humpbacked or pilot whales, sounding, broaching and spouting water as they make their way down the coast to their breeding grounds in nearby Drake Bay. All the while, the soothing sounds of the surf on the beach, water rushing in nearby streams, birds and tree frogs calling and cicadas humming, will fill your ears with the sound of the tropics. But this treetop view is not restricted to the veranda – the Casa is totally open, but totally screened to limit its occupants to paying customers only. Magnificent views can be seen from the living room, kitchen and sleeping loft. During the clear, Costa Rican night, the high ceilings of the Casa afford amazing stargazing opportunities, featuring a direct view of the Southern Cross constellation.
